Be part of a team to establish an energy-related vision for the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs. This position would provide technical expertise regarding impacts on watershed function, and fisheries and wildlife population impacts as it relates to energy-related projects across The Deschutes, John Day, Umatilla, Hood River, Willamette and Middle Columbia River basins. Track energy projects through Oregon and Washington provide written comment at various stages of development and provide guidance to tribal leadership to potential impacts to Treaty reserved rights as a result of these energy projects. 

 

Requirements

Bachelors’ degree preferably in law.  Five years’ experience in tribal governmental policy development.  A combination of education and experience is acceptable. Knowledge of federal, state and tribal legislative processes and systems.  Research, analytical, planning, organizing and evaluation skills required.  Excellent communication skills; written and verbal. Must pass a criminal background check with Federal, Tribal and State Law Enforcement. Must also submit and pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
