‘Discover Hedgerows’ Success Tours
Tuesdays, May 27 & June 3, 6-8:30PM
Please join us for one or both of our upcoming Hedgerow Project Success Tours at Helsing Junction Farms and Oyster Bay Farm. These two demonstration hedgerow projects were installed during the 2023-24 planting season to protect water quality & enhance wildlife habitat at local farms, while providing multiple additional benefits to enhance agricultural production.
Each of these projects is unique, with differing goals, site conditions, and outcomes. Attending both tours will provide participants with the best opportunity to see different hedgerow styles, learn about particular challenges, and celebrate the successes of each individual project.
These tours are co-sponsored by the partnership of Thurston Conservation District, Native Plant Salvage Foundation, WSU Extension, & the farmers, with funding support provided by the Sustainable Farms & Fields Program of the Washington State Conservation Commission and Thurston County’s water resources program.
RSVP below & share this special opportunity with friends, family, and neighbors!
Snacks and refreshments provided! Additional parking instructions
will be sent, in advance of each event, to everyone who signs up.
