2025 Stream and Wetland Ecology Basic Training at the Northwest Stream Center

During 2024, the Adopt A Stream Foundation conducted a series of Watershed Education: Stream and Wetland Ecology Basic Training classes.  Those events attracted very diverse audiences from city and county planning/public works/parks departments, conservation districts, natural resource non-profit organizations, as well as many individuals who simply wanted to learn more about their home watershed.

This class is particularly beneficial for members of City/County Councils and Planning Commissions who do not have any natural science background.

The 2025 class dates are on the last Fridays of the month March 28, April 25, May 30, June 27, and July 25 between 10am and 4:30pm.   The majority of the class will take place outdoors on an incredible Nature Walk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T55zEuM3FXo&t=16s…a terrific place to learn the interconnections between forest, wetlands, streams, fish, wildlife, and people!

Attached are details about the March 28, 2025 class.  Now is a great time to be at the Northwest Stream Center as it coincides with the peak bloom of native plants that you will enjoy throughout the day on the Elevated Forest and Wetland Walk

If you cannot make that date, you can register in advance for one of the other dates listed above by calling 425-316-8592 or online at www.streamkeeper.org
