There is an opportunity to volunteer for the 32nd Annual Student GREEN Congress (Global Rivers Environmental Education Network; hosted by the Nisqually River Education Program & Thurston Conservation District) on Thursday, March 20th (Evals week)!
On that day, 450 K-12 students from 33 schools, 80 chaperones, 40 teachers, and 27 community members leading a variety of environmental workshops + 35 environmental professionals facilitating state of the rivers sessions will be on campus for the event!
Last year several MES students helped out on the day of Student GREEN Congress. This was great – especially because of their familiarity with the campus they could get kids looking for their classrooms going to the right place easily.
Would you be interested in volunteering this year? If so, please email Carri to let her know (LeRoyC@evergreen.edu) and then check in with event staff in SEMII A2105 around 11:45. They would love your help between 12:00-2:30 (helping students find workshops during passing periods, helping with AV, helping workshop leaders load supplies at the end of the day, etc.).
