Atlantic Flyway Shorebird Initiative 2025 Request for Proposals

Chesapeake Bay Innovative Nutrient and Sediment Reduction Grants 2025 Request for Proposals

Proposal Due Date: November 5, 2024 by 11:59 PM Eastern Time

NFWF, in partnership with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the federal-state Chesapeake Bay Program partnership, is soliciting proposals to restore water quality and habitats of the Chesapeake Bay and its tributary rivers and streams. NFWF estimates awarding $25-30 million in grants through the INSR program in 2025, contingent on the availability of funding. Learn more

Pecos Watershed Conservation Initiative 2025 Request for Proposals

NFWF is announcing the eighth annual funding opportunity of the Pecos Watershed Conservation Initiative. NFWF will award grants to voluntarily restore and sustain healthy rivers, streams and grassland systems that provide important wildlife habitat in the Pecos watershed and adjacent areas of New Mexico and Texas. Southwest Rivers Headwaters Fund 2025 Request for Proposals

NFWF is requesting proposals to restore, protect and enhance aquatic and riparian species of conservation concern and their habitats in the headwaters of the Colorado River and Rio Grande watersheds. Up to $1.3 million in funding is expected to be available. Learn more

Southern Plains Grassland Program 2025 Request for Proposals

Proposal Due Date: November 12, 2024 by 11:59 PM Eastern Time

NFWF is soliciting proposals to conserve and restore grasslands and wildlife species in the Southern Great Plains. This program seeks to work closely with nonprofit and government partners and the ranching community to provide important financial and technical resources for voluntarily improving grassland ecosystem health and resilience to climate change in the Southern Great Plains. RESTORE Colorado Program 2025 Request for Proposals

Proposal Due Date: November 13, 2024 by 11:59 PM Eastern Time

NFWF is soliciting proposals for the RESTORE Colorado Program. In 2025, NFWF expects to award approximately $4.5 million to projects focusing on the following habitats and statewide priorities: watershed resilience (wetlands, riparian and upland habitats including forests); Eastern Colorado grasslands; sagebrush rangelands; and big game winter range and migration corridors. Learn more

Western Big Game Seasonal Habitat and Migration Corridors Fund 2025 Request for Proposals

Proposal Due Date: February 13, 2025 by 11:59 PM Eastern Time

NFWF is soliciting proposals for projects that improve the quality of ungulate seasonal habitat, stopover areas, and migration corridors for big game species such as elk, mule deer and pronghorn. Projects will promote robust, sustainable populations of big game such as elk, mule deer and pronghorn, have positive effects on a wide diversity of other species and implement strategies that increase habitat connectivity and climate resiliency.
