Event Description

Overview

Spend a day nestled under the shadow of Baring Mountain as you work to improve the trail to Barclay Lake. As this is one of the most popular trails in the Skykomish area, your work will be integral to maintaining the health of this area.

About the Area

The trail meanders along the course of Barclay Creek through mossy, shady forest all the way to Barclay Lake. Hiking is easy; elevation gain is minimal. Views of the north face of towering, seemingly overhanging Baring Mountain can be had from the lake. This is one of the most popular non-wilderness trails in the Skykomish district, and because of mud and brush it needs constant maintenance.

What to Expect

We’ll have fun, work hard and make a difference! No experience is necessary.

Project Description

The current project is to work on improving drainage structures and brushing the trail corridor to make it a pleasant hiking experience for everyone.
