Washington State University Jefferson County Extension is seeking a Water Resources Program Coordinator. This position is responsible for performing lead administrative duties for programs including the Marine Resources Committee (MRC) and other community educational and engagement programs like the Beach Naturalists Program.

The Marine Resources Committee (MRC) is an advisory group to the Board of County Commissioners and part of the regional Northwest Straits Marine Conservation Initiative. MRC members are citizen volunteers committed to protecting and restoring marine habitats in our ecologically rich corner of the world. Qualifications/Requirements: This position is responsible for performing lead administrative staff duties including writing grant content, managing Northwest Straits Initiative grant funds, managing program budgets, grant reporting and submission, coordinating and attending Executive Meetings and monthly MRC meetings, tracking volunteer hours, managing the recruitment and training of new MRC members and project volunteers, maintaining the MRC website and managing contracts and contractors/ consultants for MRC projects as needed. The position manages other community engagement and educational programs such as the Beach Naturalist Training Program.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’ s degree in related field OR Associates degree (AA) and two (2) years’ experience in a related field OR Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Compensation: UFCW Grade 29, 40 hours/week with benefits. Full hourly range $29.17/hr.-$34.83/hr. DOQ. Full medical benefits, including dental and vision. Retirement provided through Washington State DRS. Plus 12 days of vacation to start, 11 paid holidays, PTO, and bereavement leave. May include evening and weekend hours.
