With that in mind, 
Picture yourself monitoring the HR Self Service Poral (JIRA) Dashboard for Human Resource actions and hire requests and ensuring tickets are fully completed prior to Human Resource Consultant 1 (HRC1) assignment.

This is an opportunity to assign and prioritize the work of the Human Resource Consultant 1 (HRC1), provide continuous mentoring, and determine training/development needs by checking in with staff regularly.

With your experience you will create electronic personnel files for employees new to state service and obtain personnel files for those coming from another Agency.

Here is what you will be doing, 
Conduct Human Resource (HR) Action and Hire Data Entry, Consulting and Filing: 

  • Provide direction and assistance to supervisors regarding onboarding/offboarding employees and submit HR Action tickets in the HR Self Service Portal (JIRA).
  • Maintain data integrity by verifying that HR tickets have correct information, required attachments, and are in accordance with agency policy, and procedures – includes compliance with the Washington Administrative Code (WAC), statute, and Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA). 
  • Routinely monitor Data Team HR Self Service Portal (JIRA) filters and dashboards to ensure they are up to date and accurately reflect workload. 
  • Enter HR tickets into System Analysis Program Development (SAP). 
  • Work with Payroll and I.T. to ensure they are notified of actions requiring their review.  

Perform Leadership duties: 

  • Divide, assign and prioritize work to the Human Resource Consultant 1 (HRC1) – includes routinely auditing work and reporting consistent errors to the Data Manager.
  • Mentor and train new Data Team staff.

Reporting:

  • Analyze and compile data in several reporting systems – Human Resource Management System (HRMS), JIRA, and Washington Workforce Analytics (WWA). 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Work Setting, including hazards:
    • Office setting that includes a fast paced, high volume and confidential environment – requires repetitively entering data into computer and working for long periods of time. 
  • Schedule:
    • Typically, Monday – Friday – 8:00 A.M – 5:00 P.M. – may be required to work occasional weekends and evenings, depending on workload.
  • Travel Requirements:
    • Some travel may be required throughout the state to attend trainings, meetings, and conferences.
  • Customer Interactions:
    • Will interact with agency employees in various WDFW programs.  

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor’s degree with focus on business, human resources, social or organizational behavioral sciences, or related field.

AND

  • One (1) year of professional experience providing technical support in a Human Resource or Payroll Office. 
    1. This experience may include processing personnel actions, recruitments, auditing records, consulting on interpretation of rules, collective bargaining articles, policies, and procedures for human resource issues.

OR

  • Equivalent education/experience.

Please Note: Closely related qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-by-year basis.

Certifications/Licenses: 

  • Valid Driver’s License.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor’s degree with focus on business, human resources, social or organizational behavioral sciences, or related field.

AND 

  • Two (2) years of professional experience providing technical support in a Human Resource or Payroll Office. 
    1. This experience may include processing personnel actions, recruitments, auditing records, consulting on interpretation of rules, collective bargaining articles, policies, and procedures for human resource issues.

Experience: 

  • Six (6) months of experience keying actions in Human Resource Management Software (HRMS).
  • Six (6) months of experience utilizing an electronic ticketing system such as the HR Self Service Portal, JIRA.
  • Experience running reports with Washington Workforce Analytics (WWA).

Knowledge:

  • Expert level knowledge in Microsoft Office products.
