Integrated Resource Management is looking to hire full-time, seasonal habitat restoration technicians for the current field season. This will be an excellent opportunity for students or graduates looking for experience in the natural resources fields as well as individuals looking to earn a solid wage for hard work and dedication.

Qualified candidates will work on a range of projects within in the Willamette valley of western Oregon, from Eugene to Portland. Individuals will be asked to conduct the following field work as part of their position:

  • Chainsaw operation
  • Herbicide application on invasive species
  • Manual labor
  • Slash pile burning
  • Tree planting
  • Weed pulling

Access to many job sites will be completed using ATVs, canoes, cross country navigation using maps/GPS units and jet boats. Candidates will be expected to quickly learn the safe and proper use of all of the tools and skills above in addition to a solid understanding of plant identification. Six months forestry or farm experience preferred using the tools/skills listed above is preferred. Working for extended periods in field during all weather conditions is a requirement.

Starting pay is $16.00/ Hr. in addition to a travel stipend. Staff will meet at shop in Albany for crew transportation to job site. Employees will receive travel stipend for daily travel and per diem for out town stays. Must have reliable transportation to the job sites from Eugene to Portland. Applicant must supply their own boots and other suitable, all weather clothing.
