Salary– $15.74 per hour

The internship will be primarily focused on the administrative and inspection work associated with projects that are in various stages of construction. The paid internship position will assist the CAMP lead Construction Project Coordinating staff in projects that contribute to the agency’s mission to preserve, protect, and perpetuate and preserve fish, wildlife, and ecosystems while providing sustainable fish and wildlife recreational and commercial opportunities.

WDFW CAMP is looking for interested students that are currently enrolled and pursuing a degree or graduated within the last 6 months, majoring in Engineering, Construction Management, or other construction related degree.

Student interns will be based out of Olympia, Washington and will be exposed to active construction projects and assist in the inspection, monitoring, and review of designs and submittals for projects. Projects will be across Washington state and range from floodplain restoration, boat access area repair, fish hatchery improvement, active FEMA projects, elk fencing repair, etc. They will be paired up with a seasoned Construction Project Coordinator to learn and appreciate the day to day construction operations and will experience first hand the importance of a good set of design plans and specifications.
