Project Description: Provide technical assistance to the National Park Services Inventory and Monitoring Division, with a focus on analyzing forest and vegetation monitoring data and developing data reporting tools for park managers. Duties will include synthesizing and evaluating large volumes of complex vegetation data collected across multiple I&M networks, conducting status and trends analyses, preparing summary reports of key monitoring insights for park managers, and assisting with the components of a user-friendly data dashboards and other automated data reporting tools. The SIP intern will work closely with quantitative ecologists, data managers, and ecologists on all aspects of project implementation.
