Salary– $65,928.00 – $86,484.00 Annually

Conducts Restoration Implementation Planning. Tasks include: 

  • Develops strategies and processes for selecting and implementing restoration projects that meet ASRP goals, in collaboration with the ASRP Manager.
  • Identifies programmatic needs and issues related to ASRP implementation and collaborate with partners to achieve resolutions.
  • Establishes processes for acquisitions and incentives associated with restoration projects.
  • Gathers and communicates lessons learned to adapt project implementation and to inform future ASRP project implementation.

Performs Team Coordination. Tasks include: 

  • Coordinates the work of multi-organization implementation teams to ensure successful implementation of restoration projects, including managing project timelines, collaborating on project tasks, and integrating direction and input from internal and external partners.
  • Partners with state contracting agencies and non-governmental organizations on project contract oversight needs.
  • Acts as liaison between project implementation teams and ASRP policy and technical groups to ensure alignment with ASRP goals and the guidance of the ASRP Steering Committee.
  • Coordinates parallel processes for restoration design and pursuing select acquisitions as part of the projects, to ensure timelines and objectives are aligned.

Builds Communication and Relationships. Tasks include: 

  • Effectively communicates with ASRP Steering Committee and Technical Advisory Group, as well as the Office of Chehalis Basin.
  • Leads and facilitates meetings, workshops, and presentations.
  • Prepares briefing materials, project/program summaries, and correspondence.
  • Coordinates government-to-government consultation with interested tribes on ASRP restoration projects as necessary to meet WDFW’s obligations under Executive Order 21-02.
  • Communicates with internal and external stakeholders and partners, such as conservation districts, community organizations, land trusts, and the Recreation and Conservation Office, gathering input and integrating it into project implementation as appropriate.

Performs Contract Management. Tasks include: 

  • Manages competitive processes for the selection of contractors/consultants needed to support project implementation.
  • Negotiates contracts that meet ASRP objectives and achieve desired results.
  • Manages and directs the work of contractors/consultants to ensure the contract objectives are achieved and products meet expectations.

WORKING CONDITIONS: 

  • Work Setting, including hazards:   
    1. Work is primarily in an office setting with occasional field work.
  • Schedule:   
    1. Typically, Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with some evening and weekend work possible.
  • Travel Requirements: 
    1. Approximately eight (8) days per month require travel to meetings, site visits and events.
  • Tools and Equipment: 
    1. Computers, cell phones, highway vehicles, videoconferencing and standard office equipment.
  • Customer Interactions:
    1. Interacts with a variety of stakeholder groups, project partners, tribes, and members of the public.
