The Phoenix Conservancy is seeking a motivated Prairie Restoration Manager to join our team to restore endangered prairie in North America. The Phoenix Conservancy is a rapidly growing nonprofit organization based in Pullman, Washington, whose mission is to restore endangered ecosystems for the communities and biodiversity that depend on them. We work on ecosystems that are less than 10% intact, and have flagship projects on a local (Palouse prairie), national (Northern Short Grass prairie in the Great Plains of North America), and global (Madagascar rainforest) scale.

The Prairie Restoration Manager is responsible for actively developing, expanding, and growing our two prairie projects, dividing their time approximately 75%/25?tween Palouse and Northern Short Grass prairie, respectively. For both ecosystems, the central goal is to maximize the amount of land under restoration, expand our capacity to restore these areas, and to increase project budgets through grant writing, creative fundraising, and innovative project development tied to restoration activities. This position is responsible for efficient management and execution of upland prairie and riparian restoration projects, supervision of a year-round team of interns and staff and support achievement of organizational and program goals.
