Schedule
March or April through August or September (5 months), five-day work week, up to eight-
hour shifts with flexible hours which may include weekdays, weekends, and some evenings.
Job Summary
Assists maintenance personnel with routine tasks related to the maintenance and operation of county
park athletic fields, grounds, facilities, and structures.
Examples of Duties
Removes and disposes litter, garbage, and debris; cleans and sanitizes public restrooms; performs
gardening and landscape tasks; prepares ball fields for league and tournament games; and assists
with capital improvement projects.
Minimum Requirements
High school graduate or GED, experience in landscaping or light construction; ability to accomplish
assignments within time frame and work with minimal supervision; ability to perform the physical
requirements of this position including bending, heavy lifting, and exposure to v ariable weather
conditions; ability to operate pick up truck and various power and hand tools. Must have valid WA
State Driver’s License with good driving record (selected candidate will be required to provide driver’s
abstract record) and must pass WA State Patrol criminal background check.
