Job Description Summary

The Department of Natural and Applied Sciences at Bentley is seeking an Adjunct Lecturer to teach two (2) sections of Environmental Science and Sustainability in spring 2020. This lab-based course is an introduction to environmental sciences, highlighting issues in environmental and ecological sustainability. This course places a strong emphasis on understanding how humans are linked to the environment, how humans can modify their interactions with the environment, and how humans can learn from past and current environmental issues to address environmental issues of the future. Topics include a wide-range of major environmental issues, current affairs, and environmental solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be available to teach lecture/lab sections on Monday (12:30-1:50 PM), Tuesday (9:30-10:50 AM), and Thursday (8:00-10:50 AM and 12:30-3:20 PM) during the spring 2020 semester.
  • PhD in earth science, ecology, or other environmental science-related field is preferred, although Ph.D. candidates in late stages of training will be considered.
