Loyola University Maryland is seeking an experienced Director of Sustainability with a minimum of 5 years experience in the field. The successful candidate will be energetic, patient and detail oriented with a passion for Sustainability and working with all levels of administrators, staff and students.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
  • 5-8 years of related work experience.
  • Strong ability to work as part of a team as well as to work independently on a wide variety of projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop positive collaborative relationships and experience in facilitation of collaborative processes to achieve a consensus outcomes.
  • Experience developing long-term strategic initiatives and in implementing, assessing and engaging communities in them.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects, and demonstrate effective time management skills.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and initiative, including a willingness to seek and integrate information from multiple sources, and to take initiative to anticipate programmatic needs.
  • Sound judgment in decision-making and ability to think strategically.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and promote inclusive programs that engage all members of the community.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills with experience communicating with multiple diverse audiences.
  • Strong human relations and interpersonal skills including an ability to interact professionally and communicate in a clear and courteous manner with a diverse community in order to maintain effective, professional, and cooperative working relationships across all levels on campus and with external audiences.
  • Proficiency in database and web site development, and the Microsoft Office and Google suites.
