Responsibilities include:

• Being a knowledgeable resource for multidisciplinary design teams with a civil engineering and capital project focus.
• Scoping, conducting and delivering environmental site assessments (Phase I/II) and remedial investigations of contaminated properties including field investigations and the preparation of required reports.
• Participating in client outreach and project development activities, including project identification and tracking, proposal support and client relations
• Preparing cleanup action plans and hazardous materials management plans.
• Evaluating environmental compliance requirements for contaminated property redevelopment and resource land management.
• Managing routine environmental monitoring projects including client contacts, budgets, expenses, and supplemental contract needs.
• Writing technical reports as primary author and preparing environmental compliance documentation to regulatory and industry standards.
• Working with in-house engineers, planners, landscape architects, and multidisciplinary staff to prepare project deliverables related to contaminated properties and hazardous materials handling and management.
• Coordinating and collaborating with Department of Ecology, US EPA, and local health departments on project requirements and implementation strategies.

Minimum Qualifications include:

• At least 5 years of professional experience working with environmental site assessments and remedial investigations.
• At least 3 years’ experience in the environmental consulting industry.
• 40 Hour HAZWOPER training.
• Successful public agency project experience in Washington State.
• BS or higher degree in geology, environmental science, remediation management or similar study that aligns with the environment assessment profession.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct and manage, with limited supervision, environmental site assessments, field investigations drilling and sampling programs, laboratory data management and reporting, and field safety programs.

• Demonstrated ability to produce clearly written reports and coordinating the organization and preparation of project deliverables.
• Demonstrated success in communications, organizational skills, and writing skills appropriate for environmental consulting.
