OSG is seeking an Environmental Scientist / Natural Resource Specialist to join our Redmond, WA team. The successful Environmental Scientist will perform the following responsibilities: wetland and stream delineation, collecting soil and water samples at construction sites, monitoring contractor work activities to ensure permit compliance, tree inventories and risk assessments, report writing, and JARPA preparation. We believe in the power of building strong relationships with our clients, regulators, and owners, so a willingness and desire to work with a diverse set of individuals to solve problems is essential. Our commitment is to provide the highest level of quality through each phase of our projects; so, solid communication, technical skills and an eye for detail are mandatory

Preferred Skills & Experience:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Wetland Science, Botany, Forestry, or Ecology

· 3-5 years of environmental experience in Washington State.

· Strong technical writing and verbal communication abilities.

· Training in wetland delineation and Pacific Northwest plant identification.

· Knowledge Local, State and Federal regulatory requirements.

· Knowledge of permitting relevant to aquatic resources, endangered species and shorelines

· Previous experience supporting construction projects & working with contractors.

Successful candidate should have one or more of the following certifications:

· Wetland Professional in Training (WPIT)

· Certified Arborist as certified by the International Society of Arborists (ISA)

· Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Lead (CESCL)

· Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC)

· Engineer in Training (EIT)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour
