BEF is looking to hire a BWS Senior Program Manager who is responsible for delivering all components of BEF’s business-related water programming, in collaboration with the BWS Program Director and other BWS team members. The successful candidate will provide relationship and operational program management for all on-the-ground project partners, philanthropic and business partners, and multiple external contractors; development and implementation of program management tools and systems; and will anticipate and identify program challenges and develop effective solutions. Primary Duties:

  • In collaboration with the BWS Portfolio Director, manage engagement and relationships with project partners, serving as a primary point of contact with project partners nationally and internationally.
  • Lead and improve project contracting and management with BWS Portfolio Director, ensuring contract accuracy and managing appropriate timing of payments to and reporting requirements from project partners.
  • Own and manage Request for Information (RFIs) and Request for Proposals (RFPs) processes on behalf of business clients for project solicitation nationally or internationally- creating and implementing outreach strategies, tools, and project review and decision-making processes.
  • Conduct initial outreach to existing and potential new project partners to identify projects and evaluate relevance to BWS goals and objectives.
  • Represent BWS as the primary liaison in regional water stewardship coalitions – engaging with corporate social responsibility executives.
  • Develop and maintain a database that tracks organizational contacts throughout BWS targeted watersheds to help improve efficacy of project scoping.
  • Prepare project scoping materials including project descriptions and maps. Prepare concise written documents that describe key elements of watershed function and water management paradigms for use by BWS Managers and clients to inform decision making on program design and project funding.
  • Help fulfill and advance funding philosophies and objectives of the BWS program.
  • Oversee water project portfolio communications and maintain accuracy and consistency of portfolio across online Project Bank and other documentation (presentations, promotional pieces, etc.).
  • Manage volumetric reporting process between business partners and external contractors.
  • Manage and ensure effective delivery of digital or in-person events, in partnership with internal staff and external contractors.
  • Oversee philanthropic grant budget management and reporting. Tracking incoming grants and capturing progress toward deliverables, initiating reporting to meet deadlines.
  • Provide reporting management and support to Director and BWS internal staff and external contractors.
  • Manage and oversee accurate and timely invoice processing for external contractors.
  • Implement processes to measure progress of overall programmatic impact and effectiveness, including incorporating DEI progress measures in alignment with BEF’s DEI plan.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, sustainability, or other related field; or 10 years of demonstrable success in a similar role.
  • Eight years of experience in program, relationship management or cross-functional operational roles.
  • Demonstrated experience with partnership management – contracting, reporting, relationship management.
  • Expertise in the fields of water resources, sustainability and/or grant management.
  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to collaborate and support a team in a positive and professional manner. Experience coordinating meetings, taking notes, capturing and managing action items, and preparing presentations.
  • Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise diplomacy, effectively manage shifting priorities, and consistently deliver high quality, accurate work.
  • Must be able to travel internationally and domestically occasionally up to 10% of the time.

The salary range for this position is: $70,000- $78,000 DOE
