JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

This position is for an undergraduate research assistant with an expected commitment of up to 10 hours a week. The research assistant will participate in the gathering, transformation, and analysis of social and environmental spatial data from public sources. They will also be responsible for graphic summaries (maps, posters, etc.), contributing to literature reviews, and maintaining a text record of their work. Applicants should be familiar with ESRI’s ArcMap, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Microsoft Teams).

CAMPUS SECURITY CRIME STATISTICS:

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
