About this event

This event is reserved for our QTBIPOC/BIPOC/LGBTQ2S communities.

Join us on the Willamette River for three days and two nights as we paddle from Wheatland to San Salvador. Thanks to our partners, The Willamette River Keepers, we get to sleep under the stars in beautiful campsites right on the river’s bank, sharing space with our community. This stretch is teeming with wildlife and is relativity calm water, making it welcome to all levels of paddlers. We won’t paddle more than 45 min and our breaks are 15 min, allowing time for stretching, hydrating, and personal care. We like to stick together for safety, of course, but also because we want everyone to feel like they’re part of the group.

Pack your weekend bag and bring shoes that you don’t mind getting wet. We’ll take care of the rest! Our Adventure Leaders will guide you through navigating your water craft. Beginners are supported and welcome.

Meeting Location: Wild Diversity, 5431 NE 20th Ave, Portland, OR 97211

Meeting Time: August 6th at 9:00AM

Shuttle from Wild Diversity to launch location is available. The put in and take out are different locations. Participant who want to drive will leave their vehicle overnight at San Salvador and will still have to shuttle to Wheatland Ferry.

End Time: Expect to be off the water around noon-1PM on Sunday and completed with deissuing and cleaning gear at Wild Diversity by 4-5PM.

Your Adventure Leaders for this trip are Kaia & Denver.
