Position summary 

WTA seeks a Database Coordinator to support the core functions of our development team. The Database Coordinator monitors, updates, analyzes and reports on donor data to ensure that WTA’s fundraising operations can successfully advance our mission impact. This is an exciting entry‐level position at a growing and influential organization in the outdoor recreation industry. The ideal candidate will be detail‐oriented, data driven, and passionate about WTA’s vision of trails for everyone, forever. The Database Coordinator is a full time, non‐exempt position based in WTA’s downtown Seattle headquarters. This position reports to the Development Operations and Analytics Manager and works closely with the entire Development team, along with other members across all teams. This position will start fully remote with plans to return to our Seattle office in a predicted hybrid model in the fall.

Primary Responsibilities & Qualifications 

Responsibilities 

  • Database and Donor Support Management   
    • Enter and audit donations made to WTA through all online and offline sources 
    • Ensure integrity and accuracy of our Salesforce database 
    • Assist with the editing of the overall user interface of our database 
    • Manage and facilitate timely and personalized acknowledgments of individual gifts 
    • Serve as the team expert for all incoming donor inquiries and questions
  • Analytics and Organization Growth
    • Serve as a thought partner with the Operations and Analytics Manager in fundraising strategy analysis 
    • Work with the Major Gifts Officer to identify new opportunities to pursue major gifts 
    • In tandem with the Operations and Analytics Manager, work to develop and improve our understanding and application of data across the organization 
    • Maintain up‐to‐date knowledge of WTA programs and priorities
    • Actively participate in team meetings, organization‐wide meetings, peer evaluations, staff training and retreats 
    • Assist with special events as needed.

Qualifications  

  • Comfort with and/or knowledge of data entry, organization and analysis in databases, experience with data entry a plus 
  • Experience in and/or knowledge of data entry practices in constituent/client management databases, Salesforce a plus 
  • High ethical standards and ability to manage confidential donor information 
  • Ability to use critical thinking and problem‐solving skills 
  • Demonstrated commitment to WTA’s mission and values on diversity, equity and inclusion 
  • Ability to accept and integrate feedback graciously, and give effective feedback to team members 
  • Ability to work independently in a fast‐paced environment and as a member of a dynamic team 
  • Cultural competency experience and demonstrated ability to work with people of diverse races, ages, genders, abilities and economic backgrounds 
  • Strong literacy working with and understanding data 
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office 

Schedule 

This position works a regular schedule, Monday‐Friday, with room for flexible working hours. Position will start remote and then transition to working from the Seattle office in anticipated hybrid model.

Compensation 

Compensation range is $20.00‐$24.00 per hour, depending on experience. WTA also offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement, disability, transportation, and holiday, vacation and sick leave.
