This recruitment is for a full-time, permanent, Fiscal Analyst 1 position in the Financial Services office located in Tumwater, Washington.

Duties

This position supports the mission through performing accounting and other financial reviews and analysis; assuring compliance with fiscal policies and procedures, or other financial data in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAPP). This position reports to the Accounts Payable Supervisor in Financial Services.
 
Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Analyze, interpret, assign coding, and process vendor utility payments claims.
  • Review, analyze, verify, and correct discrepancies as necessary for vendors, utilities, and petty cash reimbursements.
  • Analyze, monitor, and evaluate accounting activates such as the monthly Purchasing Card, Wex Fuel Card, use tax, and petty cash distribution.
  • Reconcile the Capital Asset Management System (CAMS).
  • Analyze and resolve outstanding warrants (Statute of Limitations), returned warrants, and process warrant cancelation journal vouchers.
  • Reconcile General Ledger Accounts.
  • Process internal and external payments and distributions.
  • Access the Agency Financial Reporting System (AFRS) to prepare, input, and review fiscal documents.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school graduation or equivalent.
  • One (1) year of accounting experience.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 18 quarter or 12 semester hours of accounting course credits.
