Big Sur Land Trust (BSLT) is seeking a full-time Preserve Manager with strong land management, carpentry, building maintenance, leadership, organizational, and people skills. This position reports to the Director of Stewardship and supports the strategic goals of BSLT by planning, directing, and implementing projects that support visitation and care of Land Trust properties. The Manager is responsible for maintaining and improving roads, trails, equipment, buildings and other structures as well as completing projects that protect and improve natural resources across a variety of BSLT properties. Their highest priority is to achieve the land management goals and craft experiences where visitors can connect with and contribute to BSLT’s mission at the Mitteldorf Preserve, where housing is provided.

BSLT is a Monterey-based non-profit organization with a mission to inspire love of land across generations, conservation of our unique Monterey County landscapes, and access to outdoor experiences for all. The stewardship team is responsible for the management of over 4,000 acres of diverse land holdings including, old growth redwood and madrone forests, riparian corridors, coastal chaparral, oak woodlands, Monterey Bay dunes, urban properties, working ranches, historic structures, and much more. We also conduct annual monitoring and special projects on another 7,000 acres of conservation easements throughout Monterey County.
