Position Summary

The Project Manager (PM) is a full-time, exempt position at EarthCorps. The PM position is responsible for project development and coordination between EarthCorps and partner agencies/organizations; contract management; field leadership of crews; supervision of crew leaders and responsibility for maintaining safety standards and organizational goals of EarthCorps in all endeavors. The PM reports to the Field Operations Manager. You do not need experience in all job responsibilities to apply.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to coach/ mentor young adults
  • A Commitment to racial equity and environmental justice
  • Affinity for EarthCorps’ mission and commitment to the development of young adults.
  • Experience (may include a combination of education and employment) in applied ecological restoration with understanding of wetland, riparian, and upland habitats.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to travel regionally including car and ferry trips.
  • Ability to work occasional weekend and overnight programs, including camping
  • Ability to work under physically demanding conditions, including cold and wet weather
  • Ability to walk, lift 50 pounds, and operate hand and power tools and other mechanical equipment
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working with communities of color and managing diverse teams
  • Ecological restoration experience in the Pacific Northwest
  • Wilderness First Responder certification
  • Washington State Pesticide Applicator license
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience with Geographic Information Systems (ArcGIS) equipment and programs

Compensation

SALARY— $48,000 – $55,000 annually dependent on experience
