The Department of Environmental Studies at Ursinus College invites applications for an adjunct instructor position for in-person instruction during the Fall 2021 semester.

Ursinus College is a highly selective, independent, co-educational, residential liberal arts college of approximately 1500 students located about 25 miles northwest of center city Philadelphia. With a diverse community of students, it is an expectation of all faculty to contribute to the inclusion, engagement, and success of all students.

The successful candidate will teach one section (three contact hours per week) of the upper-division four-credit course ENV-272 (Marine Mammal Conservation and Management). This course introduces majors to the historical and current issues concerning the conservation and management of marine mammals, their habitats, and related marine resources, with emphasis placed integrating the biological sciences, policy, law, economics, and humanities as part of environmental problem-solving. Teaching experience and Masters or Ph.D. in Environmental Studies, Environmental Science, Marine Biology, Marine Policy, Historical Ecology, Physical Geography, Oceanography, or a closely allied field required.
