This recruitment is for one, full-time, permanent, Fiscal Analyst 2 In-Training positions in the Accounts Payable section of the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission Headquarters in Tumwater, Washington. Please note this recruitment is for internal applicants only.

Please Note: This position is designated as an in-training, and may be filled at the Fiscal Analyst 1 or 2 level depending on qualifications.  If filled at the 1 level, the incumbent will advance to the 2 level after satisfactory completion of the Fiscal Analyst 2 training requirements.

Duties

The Fiscal Analyst 2 In-Training position report to the Accounts Payable Manager in Financial Services. This position is key for accurate accounting of various contract payments and multiple general ledger reconciliations.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Analyze, interpret, assign coding, and process inter-local contracts, purchased service contracts, personal service contracts, public work contracts, and A&E contracts.
  • Reconcile spreadsheets.
  • Analyze, reconcile, and close out contracts and agreements.
  • Encumber, liquidate, and reconcile contracts weekly.
  • Analyze, monitor, evaluate, and implement fiscal and/or accounting activities such as 1099 (IRS) reconciliations.
  • Analyze and prepare entry documents for the Capital Asset Management System (CAMS) for various capital assets.
  • Contact vendors, park staff, region/headquarters personnel or purchasing to resolve problems.
  • Reconcile vendor statements.
  • Verify and approve Warrant Register and Journal Voucher batches.
  • Pay Office of the State Treasurer for accounting related banking fees.
  • Reconcile balances during fiscal and biennial year end.
  • Help with Payroll cut offs.
Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Fiscal Analyst 1 – $3144.00 – $4083.00 Monthly

  • High School graduation or equivalency.
  • One (1) year of professional fiscal experience.

Fiscal Analyst 2 – $3446.00 – $4509.00 Monthly

  • High School graduation or equivalency.
  • One (1) years of professional fiscal experience.
  • 18 quarter or 12 semester hours of accounting.
