Seattle sun, Seattle fun is on the shores of the City’s most popular locations, boat ramps along our beautiful parks and waterways.  If you are looking for an interesting summer job spending the day at a park and helping boaters recreate, look no further!  Seattle Parks and Recreation is currently seeking Boat Ramp Rangers during the months of May through September.  So put on your superhero cape and come join our team!

Hours range from 14 to 24 hours per week and with premium pay you can earn as much as $20.95 per hour!

COVID safety protocols are strictly enforced to keep you and the public safe.

Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee boat ramp operations
  • Monitor collection of fees
  • Direct ramp traffic during peak hours
  • Perform on-site public relations as a representative of Parks and Recreation
  • Handle incidents as they arise
  • Clean and maintain facility
Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Requires one year experience in a community-based recreation program and an associate degree in Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation, or related field (or a combination of education and/or training and/or ex­perience which provides an equivalent background required to perform the work).
  • American Red Cross First Aid and Safety (includes CPR).
  • Swimming Float Test required.
