The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has an exciting opportunity within our Wildfire Division. Do you like a fast paced rewarding work environment, if so this job is for you!  Our Seasonal Office Assistant 2 position provides a variety of administrative/clerical functions. This position will challenge you with fast-paced, high-intensity situations that will require you to utilize your multi-tasking aptitude.  This position will also utilize your excellent verbal and written skills to communicate and network with agency staff from all regions, divisions, and management.

Duties

Responsibilities:
Some of the responsibilities of the Office Assistant 2 include, but are not limited to the following: Weather Information Management System (WIMS), fire weather observations, answering the Washington State DNR Fire Reporting line, travel coordination, and general administrative support.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Experience operating a multi-function copier and other standard office equipment
  • Experience collaborating with team members to deliver measured results
  • Experience using multi line phone
  • Experience managing multiple tasks while evaluating competing priorities
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
