Position Summary

The Marketing Manager helps us meet our goals for conservation and tackling climate change by leading on integrated and strategic marketing for The Nature Conservancy in Washington. They are responsible for creative and vivid storytelling that builds support, grows our organizations impact and ultimately makes a difference for people and nature.

-Strategic marketing: 50%

-Climate communication: 50%

  • Conceive and implement integrated and strategic marketing designed to support our conservation and climate goals and enable our organization to do impactful work.
  • Manage marketing campaigns, working collaboratively with team to elevate highest communications priorities to target audiences across channels.
  • Lead on developing and sharing compelling and creative communications about climate change, in partnership with climate director and conservation teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum 7 years’ related experience.
  • Experience implementing and managing multiple complex projects.
  • Experience executing strategic marketing campaigns across multiple channels to activate target audiences.
  • Experience with articulating complex ideas in a compelling manner.
  • Experience working in collaborative environments and matrixed organizations.

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to act in accordance with our WA Equity Statement; be respectful of differences of identity and/or beliefs, and successfully work across those differences to meet work objectives.
  • Basic understanding of climate change and/or science communications and behavior change communication.
  • Subject matter expertise in communicating about climate change is highly desired.
  • Passion for creative and visual storytelling including using info-graphics, images, video.
  • Multi-channel marketing experience including web, email, social media, print and video.
  • Multi-cultural, cross-cultural and/or multi=lingual communications experience is highly appreciated.
  • Interest in leading and potentially growing into management of teams.
