About the Job

The Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day financial and administrative activities of the organization, ensuring that things run smoothly and that staff have the resources they need. This position works closely with the Director of Finance & Administration (DFA) and Administrative Coordinator on a portfolio including bookkeeping, grant management, human resources, information technology, and facilities management. What You’ll Do

  • Manage all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities
  • Assist with payroll, GL maintenance, budgeting, and audit preparation
  • Maintain all grant and funder-related files, including creating and updating budget-to-actual trackers
  • Supervise the Administrative Coordinator and ensure that day-to-day operations run smoothly and efficiently
  • Serve as primary contact with facilities and IT vendors/building managers
  • Respond to employee questions about personnel policies and practices
  • Conduct new hire orientation and train new employees
  • Provide administrative support as needed to the Executive Director and Board of Directors

  • Please have at least 3 years of experience with nonprofit financial management and administration. We are looking for people with experience in nonprofit bookkeeping, grant administration, and general office management. An understanding of debits/credits and ability to prepare journal entries is required.
  • Tech savvy, with the ability to troubleshoot basic IT problems and oversee the work of contracted IT staff.
  • Intermediate-to-advanced skills in MS Office applications. Experience with QuickBooks Desktop or similar software is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong ability to multi-task, problem-solve, prioritize, delegate, and create systems/processes.
  • Deep commitment to fighting racism and other forms of oppression.
  • The following qualifications are desired but not required: supervisory experience; familiarity with South King County communities; proficiency in any foreign language commonly spoken in South King County.

Compensation & Benefits

This is a full-time, exempt position with an salary range of $58,000 to $68,000. Global to Local has some great benefits, including:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; and talk and hear. This job is rated for Light work, requiring the ability to lift or move up to 20 lbs. on occasion. Close visual acuity to perform activities such as reading and viewing a computer terminal are required. This position requires occasional travel in the SeaTac/Tukwila area and may require the use of a personal vehicle.

All G2L staff are currently working from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with the option to work in the office as needed on a limited basis.
