Assigned duties will include the following:
-maintaining campgrounds, trailheads and dispersed recreation sites in the Snoqualmie Ranger District
-visitor education contacts in front country and backcountry settings
-collecting data
-cleaning restrooms
-removing litter
Compensation amounts:
– $1,100- one time RT travel allowance
– $150- weekly living allowance
– AmeriCorps eligible ($1,638 education award)
*All allowances subject to applicable federal, state, and local taxes

Interns will go through the orientation and training given to seasonal employees on each Ranger District. SCA interns will be mentored by experienced Wilderness Rangers and other employees on the Ranger District.

Mt Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest abounds with outdoor recreation opportunities throughout the year. Seattle and Tacoma have diverse educational and cultural venues including major universities, museums, , theatre, sports facilities, etc.
