In order to qualify for this position you must possess both the Basic Requirement and Minimum Qualification.
Basic Requirement: Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor’s degree with major study or at least 24 semester hours in any combination of courses such as biology, chemistry, statistics, entomology, animal husbandry, botany, physics, agriculture, or mathematics. At least 6 semester hours of courses must have been directly related to the position to be filled.
Minimum Qualification GS-7
One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-6 grade level in the Federal service. Examples of specialized experience may include: basic and applied habitat restoration techniques of wetland habitats for the benefit of various species, with emphasis on invertebrates; experience in the practices/techniques and terminology related to aquatic biology and habitats; capturing, handling and monitoring a variety of species; knowledge and experience working with laws and regulations, as well as policies pertaining to the protection of a variety of federally listed species and their habitat; using computer technology to maintain and retrieve information from automated data systems, and statistical software programs in order to develop reports; working with and leading volunteers; ability to effectively communicate orally.

I have successfully completed at least 1 year (18 semester hours) of graduate level education in coursework that is directly related to this position. I understand that my transcripts must clearly show this education or I will be determined to be not qualified for this position.

I have a combination of specialized experience and graduate education as described above which equates to 100% of the qualification requirement when combined. (When combining, only education in excess of the first 60 semester/90 quarter hours is creditable.)
