Position Summary

How to be Successful in the Role:

Bring a great attitude, be dependable, have a willingness to listen and learn, and be prepared to use what you’ve learned about Sustainability in real world situations, You will help us gather critical baseline data for our Greenhouse Gas Inventory Report.  We are looking for candidates with a good working knowledge of Sustainability practices, experience with compiling and analyzing data and experience with using Microsoft Excel.

Core Daily Responsibilities:
 

  • Support Sustainability staff to produce an organizational greenhouse gas inventory
  • Data analysis, including data entry and data review
  • Coordination with county employees to collect necessary data
  • Support Sustainability 2030 projects
  • Research topics related to climate change and greenhouse gas data
  • Write data summaries to be included in a greenhouse gas inventory repor
Qualifications

PREFERRED RECRUITING REQUIREMENTS:
This position is open to full-time students working towards an undergraduate degree including community college with an emphasis in Environmental studies or a related field.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS: Successful completion of all required background checks may be required prior to employment. Must possess a valid Washington State Driver’s license, or the ability to obtain the license within 30 days of employment, or otherwise meet the travel requirements of the position.
