Play a part in providing healthy fish for Oregon! Perform fish culture duties to meet production goals and maintain equipment, grounds and buildings. Operate fish liberation truck.

There is one permanent position and one seasonal position (through May 31, 2021).

Qualifications: Requires an Associate degree in Fisheries Technology, Aquaculture or Aquarium Science; OR eighteen months of fish culture (care of fish) experience. (six months of fisheries, fish screens, wildlife or related habitat work experience will count toward this experience). A higher degree in Fisheries Science or closely-related degree will substitute for Associate degree.

The goal of this recruitment is to fill the positions at the Fish & Wildlife Technician (FWT) level. However, we encourage candidates to apply for the Fish & Wildlife Technician Entry level ($2,638-$3,508/mo.), as the department may consider under-filling the positions.

Preference for: Experience with fish culture and water systems/maintenance, fish liberation/hauling fish, operating electronic/mechanical equipment, collecting and recording data, writing technical/summary reports, using Microsoft Office software, working with the public.
