The California Energy Commission is seeking a Manager and Supervisor of Energy Systems Research Office and Energy Technology Systems Integration unit, respectively, in the Energy Research and Development Division. The Energy Systems Research Office (ESRO), which consists of energy scientists and engineers, is responsible for a portfolio of grid technologies that facilitate decarbonization, while maintaining resiliency, safety and cost competitiveness including lynchpin technologies such as storage and microgrids. The office manages the most diverse portfolio of microgrids and emerging energy storage technologies in the Nation and most likely the world.  In addition to the electric grid, the ESRO team works on improving the safety, reliability and effectiveness of the natural gas system, including strategies to develop renewable alternatives such as green hydrogen and analysis on safety and endues impacts.
