Responsibilities

  • Duties listed are at full performance grade GS-09 Level.
  • Provide instruction on a variety of topics in fire and aviation safety.
  • Apply technical methods and procedures related to fire and/or aviation operations and to managing agency programs.
  • Assist in developing Regional and local fire and/or aviation management curriculum, courses, and training materials.
  • Develop course objectives, including instructional and performance objectives; prepares and develops course content and format; plans instructional aids and test measurements or designs them as needed for course and student evaluating.
  • Serve as a coordinator for Interagency, Regional, and local fire and/or aviation management courses and workshops
  • Prepare announcements, specific instructional and performance objectives, selects instructors and instructional materials.
  • Serve in a variety of fire assignments and details as qualified and needed to maintain qualifications and credibility in profession
  • Make on-the-job fire suppression and incident management training evaluations by serving as overhead team member on project wildfires and independently viewing fire suppression activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
