At Quixote Village, we strongly believe that everyone deserves safe and affordable housing. We work to provide housing for our community members experiencing homelessness in Thurston County, Washington. We are a tiny house village that offers communal living with rich peer mentorship and support. Our staff work side-by-side with residents to help them reach their individual goals and to connect them with various community services.
The Quixote Work Study provides administrative support to the staff at Quixote Village, including managing our donations and donor database, managing our general email account, putting together resources for staff and residents, helping staff research ways to braid or best use community resources, responding to questions from community members, and other administrative functions. The Quixote Village work study reports to the Program Manager. remote for fall and covid safe possible in future.
– Currently attending the Evergreen State College and receiving work study
– Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
– Ability to work with a high-need population and maintain healthy boundaries
– Work independently with minimal supervision

Improved communication skills with people of different backgrounds. Increased knowledge of low-inclome housing resources and homelessness. Direct contact with homeless people, hearing their stories, reminds us of how easy it is to become homeless today. Case Management support with our resident advocate. Knowledge of the role of non-profit and faith communities in working for social change.

•All positions are hired through CCBLA and are open to work study eligible WA State residents. Hiring process includes interviews with organization and at CCBLA.
•All Positions are 8 hours per week @ $15/hour aligned with work study award. Positions end June 10, 2021.
