Local shellfish company is seeking motivated and responsible workers to join our farm family. This is an entry level position responsible for performing basic shellfish farming duties. This is an ideal job for someone who enjoys working out of doors, is physically fit, has good communication skills and is looking for a job with potential growth.
Position is full time for immediate employment.
Experience is not necessary but welcome.
– Must be at least 18 years of age with reliable transportation.
– High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
– Must have a valid driver’s license
– Must be able to work during irregular hours including weekends, holidays, and all necessary tidal events, which may include nights and/or days.
– Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
– Must be able to walk long distances in muddy ground.

– Prepare and maintain clam and oyster grounds.
– Construct and maintain shellfish grow out systems.
– Plant and nurse seed.
– Process product for market using quality control methods of safe handling.
– Complete hazard analysis and critical control point documentation.
– Operate vehicles, small boats, motors and other farm equipment.
