EnviroVector currently seeking wetland and wildlife environmental biologists who can demonstrate competence in performing wetland delineations and wildlife studies. Essential job responsibilities include but not limited to
· Performing wetland delineations
· Performing wildlife studies
· Preparing technical documents for agency review
· Collecting and processing GPS data using GPS & GNSS devices and GIS software
· Performing fieldwork that includes collecting scientific data while traversing challenging terrain
· Bring valuable skills and experience to our advanced and multi-disciplinary team of Scientists
Minimum Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in ecology, biology, or other closely related discipline from an accredited university
· Minimum 2+ years of experience as an environmental biologist
· Academic or work experience should include experience in Washington State, with a focus on local flora and fauna ecology
· 2 years’ experience in wetland delineation preferred
· Proficiency with processing and interpreting data for evaluating biological communities (aquatic and terrestrial)
· Ability to work as part of a team, strong communication skills, and the ability and desire to interact with agency representatives
· Valid driver’s license and dependable vehicle available to travel to work sites
Preferred Qualifications:
· Relevant professional work experience within the land use sector
· Certified wetland biologist preferred
· Strong technical report writing skills
· Experience in ecosystem assessments, environmental permitting
· Experience organizing and performing ecological assessments, vegetation surveys, and wildlife studies in WA
· Proficiency with processing and interpreting data for evaluating biological impacts and site restoration strategies
· GIS/GPS Skills related to hand-held GPS units
· AutoCAD experience highly preferred
