Hello MES,

The Quinault Indian Nation located in Grays Harbor County has received multiple grants to fund a European Green Crab trapping crew to catch and remove this marine invasive species in Grays Harbor and neighboring coastal pocket estuaries. This also includes recording non-target species encountered, bait studies, trap studies, catch per unit of effort (CPUE), community outreach to local schools and community organizations, coordination with WDFW, DNR, WA Sea Grant, conservation district, and local shellfish growers. This is a great opportunity for a student(s) to get out in the field, plan trapping effort and locations, analyze our data, and create their own thesis research project. All trapping gear, data recording apps, and bait included.
