I attended college there amd would love to share what i’ve been working on. I’d really like to apply for one of several grants out there related to wildlife but really some would be ideally suited for student projecdts

1) FSC certification by DNR. This is the green certification that DNR has that certifies that DNR is using certain standards like ensuring natural forest and social, community and environmental protections.. Currently there needs to be some clarification of those standards. 

2) Review of Clean water act and whether current stormwater management manuals protect listed species, namely Oregon spotted frogs. (a local ditch district was sued for killing spotted frogs due to following guidance in a stormwater manual and requirement of A local jurisdiction ok?). I think I have most of the materials and just now compiling… 

3) using radiotelemetry to track frogs through several properties on private land. I can probably get accesss to one or two properties but then the student would have to make more contacts here

4) develop a forest managament plan in one watershed in Thurstn county as a model for others

Some could be funded possibly if I can arrange a grant or other funding
