There are a couple projects that need fire severity mapping completed, one in Guatemala and another in India. These would use landsat data, and I’m pretty sure there are good tutorials for doing this. Another just came up mapping wildfire risk in an area of SW Argentina. I do not do international work much do to my funding, but get these requests and do them kind of on the side when I can. I’d also like to see a student mine iNaturalist data and see how it compares to LANDFIRE data.
We are happy to brainstorm and discuss these topics. Some projects come and go, some are ongoing.
