Potential projects with the Squaxin Island Tribe:

  1. Empirical measurement of tree interception and transpiration.
  2. Freshwater mussel reproduction
  3. The presence of stormwater pollutants in streams.
  4. Use of aerial imagery to document recolonization of a creek by beavers.  Field documentation of what that has meant for salmon habitat.
  5. Long term groundwater levels after changes in groundwater pumping.
  6. Presence of very small quantities of pharmaceuticals and personal care products in reclaimed water, and how they attenuate as the reclaimed water is used for farm irrigation, and then as it moves through groundwater to salmon streams.
