We’re still brainstorming project ideas for students, but here’s our current list: doing an observational study of littering behavior around public garbage containers in downtown/central Renton, researching municipal mandatory recycling and organics waste policies, researching climate impacts of different waste prevention policies and initiatives, researching how to make municipal garbage and recycling services more equitable, and TBD projects related to electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
