Diego L. (he/him/él) – Chief Justice
diego.u.lopez_vega@evergreen.edu
He is the primary non-partial role in GSU. His work includes: supporting the GSU body in being in compliance with its governing documents, sits on the GSU Board in a non-voting advisory capacity, and is also the parliamentarian in meetings. Diego started his participation in Associated Student Bodies in High School as the Student Leadership Treasurer. He continued shared governance work while attending Community College as the Undocumented Representative for various club. And his Sophomore year, he ran and was elected to be the Chief Justice of ASB. Once he became a Greener, he again stepped into the role of Treasurer, and then Chief Justice. Since holding this position, he has participated in various campus committees and work groups. Some of these include the Latinx Standing Committee, the Undocumented Student Task Force, and the Provost Search Committee. Diego hopes to expand the relationship with campus leadership and GSU, and making shared governance more accessible for students. Academically, he wants to graduate with BA, concentrating on Symbolic Systems. In his free time, he loves gaming and spends too much time on Overwatch and Wolrd of Warcraft. And finally, feel free to ask him about national politics, he always has something to say (for better or worse).
