Abstract: During this one quarter project, entitled The Future of Wine in Wisconsin, the student will look into the future climate of Wisconsin and if it will be suitable for growing wine grapes. The student will also dig into the characteristics of the world of wine by doing wine tastings and comparisons and recording their findings. The student will also cook meals, everything from cheeses to meats to desserts, to pair with wines. The student will survey the critical research needed to complete all parts of the project.

Abstract: For this small project, entitled From Green Bean to Coffee Cup, the student will focus on the roasting process of coffee. The student will research the different stages of roasting, along with the different equipment that can be used in the roasting process. The student will then learn how to taste, describe, and evaluate coffee through cuppings of locally roasted coffees.
