Nate – Tuesday 3/29

So the good news is that my lung didn’t collapse on the flight from Vancouver to London. For the first hour I sat and waited like a sailor descending in a sub. I imagined my lung as the vessel, it’s newly repaired hull being tested for the first time in a pressurized environment.  Creaking and groaning, every twinge of chest pain could be a harbinger of crushing doom, or perhaps just a bit of indigestion.

The night came and went with little true sleep occuring. All told, I feel well enough. Security has been a breeze all thus far. Currently sitting  in Heathrow for a 8 hour layover. If YVR was the nicest airport I’ve been to, Heathrow easily takes the cake for largest and busiest.
