Some ran out of the building, and some were trying to group up students. I followed a couple out of the building and into the open area between the COM building and Einsteins. That’s when we got a good look at what was happening. At first, you couldn’t even tell what was in the sky, it looked otherworldly, and for a second I thought I imagined it. But everyone else had seen it too. Once the initial storm passed, trying to find at least someone else I knew became much more difficult than I thought. After the rumbling stopped and the dust settled, I found a group near the field and everyone there helped take others to safety or anyone with medical knowledge. I tried sending texts or calling family members, but nothing seemed to go through. The storm had to have fucked up the internet some way because there was no working WIFI anywhere, even after asking around it seemed everyone was having the same issue. There were talks of people running off into the forest to go and get help on foot, but hours later they came back. I asked a friend about it, and it turned out that they must have gotten lost or something, because they never made it to the other side. Soon the red sun rose, and a few people I had been with from the start decided it was best to find a bigger group to integrate with to be more useful, so we went and found others in the Greenery.

April 17th-23

Voice Recording 1-

Since everything that happened, I and a few people I met at the Greenery decided it would be best to try and document all of the weird supernatural things that have been happening around the campus. I think it helped me most as a sort of distraction, a way to document everything I see as a means to almost prove to myself that this is real. I wanted to keep this as a sort of documentation to what we found, so I had more to go off of than just blurry photos and shitty sketches. Anyways, we were on our way to one of the spots where someone said they saw something weird, so we’ll see where that goes. I think later I’ll check out what’s happening at Einstiens, see if I can pitch in. I am CPR trained after all

Voice Recording 2-

So that was a bust. Nothing there, nothing happened. Someone called it quits pretty quick-which is fair but it did make a few people abandon this project. Oh well. I checked in with the students in charge of all the medical shit and now I’m running a few errands, but other than that not much is happening.

Voice Recording 3-

It’s uh, the next day and nothing happened. With the forest things at least. We went again today and someone said they saw something move but no one else saw it and she didn’t really get a clear picture, so… Other than that, I went to the radio station on campus and helped them as much as I could to get that up and running again. Mostly more errands. But its good news. Uhhh, yeah not much else to report on.

Voice Recording 4-

So they went back into the mist this morning apparently? Have I mentioned the mist in these yet? Whatever, basically they wanted to see if it was possible to like, get through it? But I haven’t heard how that went yet. Uh the other thing that happened, we stayed out pretty late wandering the forest’s edge all around campus and we weren’t really like, paying attention. Honestly I think we kinda use this ‘study the animals’ thing to just wander and goof off. But not last night. I was waving my phone flashlight around and I swear there was some weird glowing in the distance. Like no one else saw it but it looked like some sort of, like predators eyes? If that makes any sense. Now I feel crazy cause no one believes me. I’m gonna see if I can find that original group that went traveling through the forest and just… ask around I guess? Maybe someone could have seen what I saw. Oh! Also the same girl from before saw the weird crawly thing again, and it looked like a ball of fuzzy moss with claws. We didn’t get close but I got a decent picture of it.

Voice Recording 5-

I was right! There’s some kind of- (distant voices are heard in the background.) Yeah there’s fucked up creatures in there! … Do you think the thing in the sky like, made them? Or are they mutated or something? Yeah I’m just recording so there’s like a log for us to look back on, or if something happens, yknow. But I think you’re onto something. Hold on lets go find-

April 24th-May 4th

Voice Recording 6-

Shit, it wasn’t recording. Well someone got lost in the woods and a few of us decided to help out cause, honestly I don’t have much else going on. Except the deer, I’ll talk about that in a sec. But basically there was like a small party of students who went looking for food or a way out or something? And someone got lost. We ended up finding them though so that’s great. One of their friends took them to get medical help so I’m sure they will be fine.

(Small bit of silence, a shuffle.)

Oh yeah the deer! Apparently the deer have been acting super strange lately. I haven’t seen it myself, Reese saw one yesterday and it scared the hell outta them apparently. I wanted to ask Light- the person who we went and found in the woods -if they saw a crazy deer? But I’m gonna wait till they’re feeling a little better. Other than that… I haven’t gotten much else in terms of the animals, just the moss and the deer. Yep.

Voice Recording 7-

Alright we finally got the radio back up and running. It was such a hassle to get a working battery and hook everything back up, but the reset worked so now we just need to figure out how to connect with Olympia. Uh animal wise, Reese had the bright idea of going into the woods to try and get a good picture of the deer, and I thought it was stupid to go alone so I went with. Well turns out not only do we have to deal with weird deer, but we also saw a few bears. We didn’t like, run up to them or anything just saw them. That was the sign to call it for the night.

June 2nd – June 9th

Voice Recording 9-
I showed Reese all the animals I had documented so far. They recognized the deer and the bears obviously, but then asked me about cows. I was like ‘Are there fucking cows up here?’ and they said ‘I mean I guess there are now’. I am…. Not sure what to do with that information I guess. Well I am on my way over to radio again, I heard they want to start up some morning announcements for information and things happening on campus, I think that’s a good idea. I asked if I could help with anything, and they told me to meet right outside Kaos so well see how that goes. I’m actually almost there so I’ll update once we see if I get to participate in anything.

Voice Recording 10-
So they only need the one person, but I am like, basically in charge of sending in reports for dangerous animals if any which is cool. So now I have to patrol a few of the trails to make sure all is safe for today. I checked some of the forest in the more like, central part of campus? I have no clue what it’s called, I just work here. Anyways, I was told to go check the trail near the smoke pit that’s like behind Evans Hall. I have never been there before, so I pray I don’t get like, lost. Or eaten by the fog. If it does that.

Voice Recording 11-

Not sure how to start this, uh… I think the fog rolled in faster than I expected, so I got kind of lost then I think I went crazy maybe? Me and a few others were found when the fog cleared by the search and rescue team, so we’re good now. OH! They found Sam! When everyone was found in the fog there was extra stuff that led the team to Sam. Apparently when I was lost in the fog the radio went really weird? I don’t know. I’m actually going to check in about that now. Sided note before I end this here, being fogged was so… weird. I don’t really know how to explain it, but I felt so like scatterbrained and I still can’t remember even wandering into the forest. Like I know I did, but after I stepped into the fog I just remember looking at the sky. Reese said the med-bay team told them I kept panicking when I heard of the red sky thingy.. disaster.. Whatever. After I check in with radio though, I might stick around with the search and rescue guys, do some actual good in helping out around campus y’know? Yeah. I don’t know if I will ever.. do anything with these? But I guess if you’re listening to this I’m either very much dead, or some journalist wanted my shit so they could profit off the ‘crazy apocalypse campus’ story. Here’s to hoping for the next few weeks? Months? … whatever, is good. We got this.

Voice Recording 12-

So, it’s been a very long time since I’ve added to this, but I felt the need I guess. It’s been like three ish months since my last voice recording. The sun did a weird thing and now I feel like i’m being watched by the fucking sun of all things, we found and recovered almost all students, we found some cure with these fossils I guess? Not sure I wasn’t part of it. But the biggest news in all of this is that we established good relations with Olympia, and now are developing like a large team of people to go into the fog at the edges of Olympia to see if other places were affected, cause frankly i’m gonna be pissed if it was just here. (laughing) I’m trying to see if it’s possible to maybe be in that group. I found my family and they are all safe, but I don’t think they really went through what we did on campus the same way, y’know? Like they dealt with fog and stuff but it felt different talking to them about the disaster. I think because I was trapped in the fog for some time and I understand the cure and like the defense I have against it now I think I want to be a part of this group to just… see what’s on the other side. Maybe I will update this soon, maybe not. I said I probably wouldn’t I think two recordings back or so and look at what I’m doing now. (Pause) Would it be cheesy to say ‘see you on the other side’?

End of Log History.
