Sed<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div id=\"contentsContainer\">\n<div id=\"contents\">\n<h4 id=\"E86\" class=\"qowt-stl-Normal\"><span id=\"E87\"><\/span>General Description<\/h4>\n<div id=\"contentsContainer\">\n<div id=\"contents\">\n<p id=\"E68\" class=\"qowt-stl-Normal\"><em><span id=\"E69\">Odontella longicruris <\/span><\/em><span id=\"E70\">is a photosynthetic diatom commonly found in warm to temperate neritic regions. Cells are yellow-brown in color and can be found in joined chains or singular. At the end of each cell is a set of horns which can link cells together. Other than producing oxygen phytoplankton such as <em>O. longicruris<\/em> are an important part of the marine food web. They feed other microscopic organisms as well as small grazing fish.
